Starting the Mission at Barren Clearing
To begin the operation, deploy into the Blue Gate map and head toward the western region known as Barren Clearing. The area is easily recognizable by a massive, destroyed ARC machine laying in the central open field. Approaching this site requires caution because the wide sightlines leave Raiders exposed to roaming enemy patrols and rival players.
Once you reach the large downed robot, circle around to its southwest side near a severed leg. On the ground directly in front of the leg lies a spherical, light-grey object resembling a radar dish. Approaching this metallic sphere triggers an interaction prompt that allows you to inspect the object and mark the first objective complete.
Locating the Adorned Wreckage
After finishing the check at Barren Clearing, proceed directly south toward the area marked as Adorned Wreckage. This location features colourful debris that resembles a painted rocket structure, situated southeast of your previous location. Because hostiles frequently spawn near this zone, keep a weapon ready to eliminate potential threats quickly.
Rather than searching the entire debris field, focus your attention on the northeastern side near the smaller cylindrical ruins. You will find a small yellow computer terminal placed on a makeshift table in front of a structure. Interacting with this communications device updates your quest log and finishes the final task.
Rewards and Key Extraction Tips
Completing With a Trace unlocks useful equipment from Shani upon returning to Speranza. Players are rewarded with a Medium Shield for improved survivability alongside the Looting Mk 2 augment to boost resource gathering. Fortifying your loadout with essential gear makes future sorties into hostile territory significantly more manageable.
A major benefit of this mission is that extracting successfully is not mandatory to complete the primary objectives. Once you interact with the communications terminal, the quest completion state saves automatically.
